Club Activities

The Hampton Roads Bird Club was founded to bring like-minded persons together to celebrate and enjoy birds. The club's activities support this mission as well as to promote scientific study and the recording of bird habitat. Our activities center on advocating the development, protection, and conservation of bird life and other natural resources. These objectives are meant via Club Meetings, Public Outreach, Field Trips, Sunday Walks, and Bird Surveys.

Field Trips

The HRBC takes at least one trip each month to a regional birding hot spot so we may enjoy nature and spend the day observing birds.

Information up-coming field trips can be found in our newsletter on the field trip section of this site.about
Sunday Morning Walks

On the first and third Sundays of each month the HRBC enjoys a leisurely stroll through Newport News Park, documenting the species we see all the while delighting in the birds behavior. Plus there are snacks to fuel our curiosity.

For more details and to see what was spotted on previous walks see the Sunday Walks section of this site.
